Looking for fresh ideas for travel gifts, from clothing to tech? This holiday gift guide has some fantastic items for you or the traveler in your life.

For a look at other amazing travel gear, check out a few of my favorite travel things.

Clothing

To make my trip as comfortable as possible, I’m always on the lookout for fresh and new items to add to my travel gear arsenal.

My compression socks from Sockwell accompany me on every flight! They help to fight muscle fatigue and improve circulation, and they’re also warm and durable.

If you’re looking for comfy and stylish shoes to wear during your travels, look no further than Rothy’s. Their endless number of beautiful designs is quite impressive, but what’s more impressive is their shoes are made from recycled plastic water bottles. So, not only are they good for your feet, but they’re also good for the environment.

I don’t know about you, but I love fleece so much that I wear it year-round. LOL. For me, the warmth and ‘snuggliness’ of fleece is unmatched, and at the airport, on a flight, and during winter, I often wear my North Face Osito Full Zip Fleece Jacket by itself or as a layer under another larger coat.

When traveling, I like to layer my clothes, and one of my favorite items is Terra scarves. Created by Terra Natural Designs, these lightweight scarves have gorgeous South American inspired patterns and are created using renewable and sustainable materials.

Luggage and Other

I never pack a suitcase without shoe bags, and the Zmart portable travel shoe bags are very versatile. These waterproof bags can not only be used for packing your shoes for travel, but also for packing shoes for the gym and packing toiletries and makeup.

It may look and sound crazy, but the Sleepy Ride footrest provides a surprising level of comfort for your legs and back, allowing you to extend into a more relaxing position. It’s great for long-haul, cross-country flights.

Most of the time, I pack clothing items that don’t wrinkle much. However, there are some items that always wrinkle. That’s why the PurSteam Travel steamer is so handy! Most people probably won’t buy these on their own, which makes them an excellent gift for the frequent traveler in your life.

I love the clean design of Tumi products, and their Voyageur line is one of my favorites. The Voyageur Tres Léger International carry-on is attractive, durable, and very well designed with several compartments to house a variety of different items. Let me just say that I love multiple pockets on bags and luggage.

Recently, I snagged the Tumi Voyageur Jewelry Travel Roll to organize all of my jewelry when I travel. Because of its flat design, it doesn’t take up much space and keeps your jewelry from damage.

Tech Items

The NEWVANGA travel adapter is a handy, compact travel adapter that accepts sockets from more than 150 countries and has a built-in fuse.

The WAAO phone tripod is the perfect accessory for snapping photos. The flexible legs allow it to be mounted to uneven surfaces, and it comes with a handy wireless remote shutter.

For a long-lasting portable charger, check out the RAVPower 32000mAh portable charger, as nothing is worse than trying to capture a photo or video on your smartphone while somewhere amazing but having your phone shut down, because you have no ‘juice’. Trust me. I’ve been there, done that!

  • In Pamukkale, Turkey, mineral-rich springs leave calcium carbonate deposits that create the hillside’s pale coating and stepped basins.Close up, the textures tell a different story from the snowy landscape you might imagine at first glance. Nearby, the ruins of Hierapolis add another layer to this remarkable corner of Turkey.Read the World Heritage guide and save Pamukkale for a journey with a sense of discovery: tripwishlist.com/unesco-world-heritage-sites#Pamukkale #TurkiyeTravel #NaturalWonders #WorldHeritage #TheTripWishList
  • Dining on your own can begin with the same clear request you would make for any reservation: a table for one, please. Ask about the setting you would enjoy and let the server explain portions if you want to try several dishes. A book can be good company, and so can the view of an open kitchen. You can talk when you feel like talking and savor the meal in your own way. Try one of these scripts on your next evening out, at home or away. #TableForOne #SoloDining #RestaurantMoments #WomenOver40 #TheTripWishList
  • If an outdoor experience matters to your trip, choose one usable indoor alternative before you travel. Record its address, the opening information on the venue
  • There is an older food story beneath the modern image of D.C.’s Wharf. The Municipal Fish Market dates to 1805, and the waterfront tradition continues through seafood stalls, oysters and blue crabs. It is an excellent place to notice the everyday life of a city often introduced through its monuments. Picture a walk by the water, a look at the stalls, and the kind of lunch that belongs to its surroundings. Read the Wharf guide and save this stop for Washington, D.C.: https://tripwishlist.com/washington-dc-wharf/ #WashingtonDC #DCWharf #MunicipalFishMarket #FoodTravel #TheTripWishList
  • An opera house, concert hall, or theater can be a wonderful part of an evening away. The building tells only part of the story; the event page tells you what you will experience. Read the production title, format, language support, and seating notes, then check the details attached to the specific performance you selected. If surtitles matter to you, ask whether they are visible from your section. What would you most enjoy seeing on your next trip: a play, an opera, a dance performance, or a concert? #PerformingArtsTravel #AnEveningAtTheTheater #CultureLovers #WomenWhoTravel #TheTripWishList
  • For a multigenerational trip, ask the people traveling what would make moving around more comfortable, then send the property-specific questions. Is the entrance step-free? Does the elevator reach the room
  • The phrase cooking class can describe very different afternoons. You might roll dough at your own station, share preparation with a small group, or watch a chef demonstrate before tasting the results. Read for the part you will personally play, then ask the host to explain anything unclear. It also helps to confirm the teaching language, menu, and whether recipes come home with you. There is pleasure in both making and observing. Would you choose an apron on and hands in, or a seat with a clear view? #CookingClassTravel #CulinaryExperiences #FoodLoversTravel #TravelOver40 #TheTripWishList
  • A tree house and an observatory make an intriguing pair. At Primland in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Tree Houses overlook the Dan River Gorge, while the property’s observatory turns attention toward the night sky. One view invites you to look across the landscape; the other asks you to look up. For an autumn travel wish list, that is a memorable combination of place and perspective. Clear skies are never guaranteed, but the setting is worth discovering. Read the Virginia guide and save this idea: https://tripwishlist.com/fall-in-virginia/#VirginiaTravel #BlueRidgeMountains #TreeHouseStay #Stargazing #TheTripWishList
  • Travel smarter with the right apps! 📱 Your phone can do much more than translate a menu. Use travel apps for directions, currency conversion, language help, transportation, and local recommendations, all from your pocket.Need help planning your next adventure? The Trip Wish List can help create a seamless travel experience.🌐 www.tripwishlist.com#TheTripWishlist #TravelTech #TravelApps #SmartTravel #TravelTips #TravelHacks #TravelPlanning #Wanderlust #TravelInspiration
