The wellness travel industry is expanding rapidly, with more and more people seeking specialized trips where they can detox, meditate, transform, and engage. These types of trips promise that you can explore exciting destinations will sticking to a wellness routine. Here’s why you should attend a health retreat in Bali and beyond.
It’s good for your health!
Numerous studies show that taking a vacation actually increases your life span. If that’s not a good enough reason to take a trip, I don’t know what is!
Imagine starting and ending each day with an energizing boost from the hot room, where you melt away the stresses of life and go further into your practice. The heat and humidity of the hot room actually aids in removing toxins from the body and allows you to stretch deeper into the postures.
A Health Retreat in Bali is Very Refreshing!
Each day included a delicious breakfast filled with fresh tropical fruits and juices like papaya, mango and guava; and goodies like dragon fruit smoothies, Indonesian banana fritters, and nasi goreng (traditional Indonesian fried rice).
In addition to yoga classes, group activities blended sightseeing, culture, and adventure.
We cycled on and off the road through the jungle; visited wonderful temples and water villages; relaxed beachside under the warm rays of the sun; marveled at the beauty and greenery of lush rice paddies; and prepared delicious local foods in a traditional village.
I’m still reminiscing about these experiences and reliving them through photos!
It’s liberating!
I have always found vacation to be liberating, as it’s one of the few times per year that most of us can spend all day focusing on ourselves and our interests. If not a solo trip, travel also allows us to spend continuous time with others, whether it’s family, friends, or acquaintances.
Without the stress of a 9-to-5 and routine tasks of daily life, we are free to just be!
Our cozy retreat accommodations gave each person a restful sanctuary to lay their heads…
…and to just be!
