Located in the Emerald Coast of the Florida Panhandle, Destin is bursting with an amazing array of tourist attractions and varied activities. However, it’s clear that the water is the main draw of this gorgeous stretch of coastline. Here are three water activities to try while vacationing in Destin.

Paddleboarding

Explore the waters of the Destin with a paddleboarding adventure so that you can get up close and personal with the beauty of this region. According to Bitter End Provisions, paddleboarding is not only fun, but it also provides great health benefits. It’s a lot easier than surfing, and it’s a great water activity for the whole family to enjoy while in Destin. You can choose to enjoy your paddleboarding adventure on your own, or you can sign up for an excursion or a class.

Parasailing

There is no better way to discover the wonder of Destin and the Emerald Coast than from high up in the air. According to Just Chute Me Parasail, parasailing is the perfect way to check out the famous green waters from a magnificent vantage point. There are numerous vendors that offer visitors the chance to parasail. The morning is the best time to take to the air, because you will likely experience less wind, and the water will be calmer.

Fishing

Fishing is one of the most popular water activities to do off the coast of Destin, as the waters are flush with an abundance of fresh seafood options, attracting fishing enthusiasts to cast their reels. Destin’s East Pass is a popular launch point for deep-sea fishing excursions. Once out in the Gulf of Mexico, you may be able to find grouper, marlin, tuna, triggerfish and the popular red snapper.

Keep in mind that snapper fishing is highly regulated with only a small window of open seasons. In addition to the waters of the Gulf, you can also fish in the many freshwater lakes and rivers that dot the landscape of the Emerald Coast. As RootsRated advises, before you head out on the water, you should make sure that you have a Florida fishing license.

Whatever your particular water fancy, you will be able to find what you are looking for in Destin and the Emerald Coast. This tropical paradise is the ideal place to enjoy Florida’s sun and surf.

  • A friends
  • Some travel moments deserve a proper seat and an unhurried cup of tea. At Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, afternoon tea at Fairview Restaurant brings together scones, delicate sandwiches and loose-leaf tea with a view of the lake. The pleasure is in the details: the china, the conversation and the mountain setting just beyond the window. It is an inviting idea for anyone who enjoys making a meal part of the memory. Explore the Banff guide and save this table for your list: https://tripwishlist.com/where-to-eat-in-banff/ #LakeLouise #BanffTravel #AfternoonTea #CanadianRockies #TheTripWishList
  • Planning a trip? Make sure you’re not making these common travel mistakes.Your dream getaway deserves more than rushed decisions and last-minute stress. From choosing the right destinations to creating an experience you’ll truly enjoy, the right planning makes all the difference. #travelplanning #womenover40 #travelbetter #dreamtrip #womentravel #travelinspiration #wanderlust #thetripwishlist
  • The person making your coffee, weaving a textile, or arranging flowers has a day of their own underway. If you would like a portrait, begin with a greeting and explain what you are asking for. Be equally clear if you hope to share the image publicly. A warm exchange can happen with the camera tucked away, too. Respect the answer without bargaining, thank them for their time, and let the interaction end comfortably. What travel conversation has stayed with you long after the trip? #RespectfulTravel #TravelPhotography #CulturalTravel #WomenTravelers #TheTripWishList
  • A mother-daughter getaway or a trip with friends can call for two bedrooms with an easy connection between them. Before you reserve, ask about the actual door. Hotel terminology varies, and a note asking for nearby rooms may leave the arrangement subject to availability. Request a clear answer about whether the internal connection is confirmed, then check the bed configuration for both rooms. Send the question on slide four to the person handling your reservation so everyone is picturing the same setup. #HotelRoomTips #MotherDaughterTravel #TravelOver40 #WomenWhoTravel #TheTripWishList
  • Chicago gives you a different city from every rooftop. At Cindy’s, the view opens toward Millennium Park and Lake Michigan. LondonHouse puts the Chicago River in the frame. Chateau Carbide pairs its outlook with the character of the Art Deco Carbide and Carbon Building. That makes the evening about more than what is in your glass: it is a chance to notice the city’s architecture from a new angle. Which view would you stay over? • Screenshots are inspiration. They are not an itinerary. If your camera roll is full of hotels, restaurants, cities, beaches, and “one day” trips, the next step is not saving more. It’s sorting those ideas into: 1. what fits your life now 2. what belongs on a future list 3. what deserves a real planThat decision alone can turn travel from something you endlessly research into something you actually do.Want the framework I use to make that process simpler? • A dream trip starts as a collection of ideas.A bookable trip needs structure.Which destination? How many days? What is worth prioritizing? Where should you stay? What needs to be booked first? How much breathing room does the itinerary need? That’s the gap The Bespoke Travel Method is designed to close, so you can stop circling the same ideas and start building a trip you can confidently book.Comment LEARN, and I’ll point you to the next step.#TravelItinerary #LuxuryTravel #TravelPlanning #TravelOver40 #WomenWhoTravel #BucketListTravel #TravelAdvisor #PlanYourTrip #TheTripWishList
  • Alaska is a perfect example of why timing matters.Wildlife, daylight, road-trip conditions, hiking, kayaking, crowds, and even the kind of scenery you experience can shift depending on when you go.If Alaska is on your list, don’t start by choosing a hotel. Start by choosing the version of Alaska you want to experience.Read the full guide: https://tripwishlist.com/best-time-to-visit-alaska/Save this for future Alaska planning.#AlaskaTravel #BucketListTravel #AdventureTravel #TravelOver40 #WomenWhoTravel #LuxuryTravel #TravelPlanning #AlaskaTrip #TheTripWishList
