Copenhagen should be called the bike capital of the world, as the city has an endless sea of them. The city has actually been named the world’s first official Bike City by the International Cycling Union.  Watch the video below to see what it’s like to go biking in Copenhagen.
With more bikes than cars, the bike culture in Copenhagen rivals Amsterdam. The bike infrastructure is extremely organized, and there are approximately 375 kilometers of bike lanes throughout the city that are coordinated with traffic signals during rush hour. Bike lanes even exist in the suburbs.

BIKING IN COPENHANGEN VIDEO
I have never seen so many bikes! As a pedestrian, I exercised extreme caution when crossing the street by looking FIRST for bikes and SECOND for cars.
Biking in Copenhagen can be very intense, so if you plan to do it, keep to the right and cross the street as you would if you were a pedestrian…only stay in the bike lanes.
